WGA designed a 25,000 square-foot, two-story addition to an existing four-story elementary school.  The annex consists of a new gymnasium, one classroom, toilet rooms and an elevator to improve access to the existing building.  WGA also redesigned the existing basement and many of the hallways in the existing building.  New sidewalks and landscaping help to provide a seamless transition between the old and new sections of the school.  WGA carefully considered the layered scale of the new structure and the color of the masonry to ensure that the addition would be compatible with the existing building.
